This 5-Minute Pesto is also chock-full of protein with nuts and hemp hearts. You’ll notice typical pesto has pine nuts only but I’ve split them with walnuts to reduce cost and increase protein content.
5-Minute Vegan Pesto | Real. Simple. Vegan.
- 2 cups basil leaves (You can leave the stems on too)
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1/4 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup hemp hearts
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
Purée all ingredients in a food processor.
Feel free to experiment with your favourite oil!
